Javier Belay is a multidisciplinary actor and artist born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From an early age, he showed an interest in the performing arts, organizing puppet theater shows and creating characters and stories. Throughout his life, he has explored various disciplines, including drawing, painting, set design, singing, jazz and classical dance and piano.
He trained in theater in Argentina at the El Duende Theater School with Agustín Alezzo, Emiliano Delucchi, and Rubén Viani. In 2019, he moved to Barcelona, where he began his career in audiovisual media and attended on-camera acting workshops with Marcos Franz and Lucy Lennox.
In film, he has appeared in productions such as Mi Amiga Eva (Cesc Gay), Yo No Soy Esa (Maria Ripoll), El 47 (Marcel Barrena), and Saben Aquell (David Trueba). In television, he has been part of series including Yo Adicto (Javier Giner), Élite 8, Costa!! de Serie (Netherlands), Mano de Hierro, and Dos Tumbas.
In theater, he has performed in both text-based and musical productions, including ¿Y si fueran tus últimos días?, Frida, entre lo absurdo y lo fugaz, Company by Stephen Sondheim, and Quizás Hoy by kander and Ebb.
His native language is Spanish with an Argentine accent, and he also masters the neutral Spanish accent of Spain. He speaks Catalan fluently and is bilingual in English. Additionally, he plays the piano and is a singer.
