Estela was born in a small town in Valencia, where imagining acting as a profession once seemed almost impossible. Ten years ago, she moved to Barcelona without knowing that the city would change the course of her life.

Looking back, acting seems to have always been there. She grew up dancing with her father to the music of the 60s, 70s and 80s, and also in front of a camera, as he loved filming their everyday family life. The camera was almost another member of the family.

From an early age, she felt a strong connection to theatre, rhythm and the need to express and experience emotions through the body, although it took her years to fully recognise it.

She moved to Barcelona to become an Early Childhood Education teacher and spent five years working in a profession she deeply enjoyed. Through storytelling and creating imaginary worlds for her students, she began to discover a side of herself that made her feel especially alive.

While combining teaching with work in advertising, she gradually began to understand what had been missing. Eventually, she left teaching behind to focus on auditions, training and filming.

An intensive course at Escola Karloff with Lluïsa Castell proved to be a turning point. There, she discovered that what truly fascinated her was not simply being in front of a camera, but acting itself: stepping into other lives and bringing characters to life.

At the age of 32, she began her professional training at Escola d’Actors Nancy Tuñón in Barcelona, where she completed the full three-year programme and graduated in 2025.

Since then, she has continued training and working across theatre, film, television and advertising. For the past four years, she has been part of the leading cast of the theatre company 13 dies sense fam, performing in Catalan.

Her path towards acting has not been a straight line. Perhaps that is why she now experiences it with such certainty: she does not feel she has discovered something new, but rather that she has finally recognised something that had always been there
