Melanie Smith is a Barcelona born and raised actress from Spanish and African-American roots. Her family was involved in athletics, music and theatre, hence she’s always been exposed and attracted to the show business.
She trained modern dance and jazz in Coco Comin, where she developed a big interest for musical dance and discovered her passion for acting.
Her first film appearance was ‘Blog’ by Elena Trapé, which lead her to study scenic arts.
Right after high school, she moved to London and started a degree in art direction and fashion marketing, but not long after got scouted and started modelling full time.
When her career made it internationally, taking base in NYC, she found herself involved with acting again, when projects like ‘Bygone’ by Mickey Tretov knocked her door. Was then when she decided to go back to classes and that acting would be her main focus and something she wouldn’t stop working on for the rest of her life.
