I was born in de city of the seven hills, Plovdiv in Bulgaria. Few memories come to my mind about that communist Bulgaria. The reason for that is because when I was 4 years old, me and my family got away in order to start a new live as political refugees in Germany.
Some years later, when the new constitution was approved and with the fall of the communist regime, we went back.
I spent the summer holidays reading books, helping my grandparents to harvest the corn from the field, walking the white sheep of my grandpa and performing small theatrical pieces on the back yard of my grandmother.
I wrote scripts and directed my friends. Also, me and ”my theater company” used to invite all the neighboors. I still keep those scripts, they are framed and hanged on the wall of my house in order to remind me of the power of big dreaming.
I was 18 years old when I landed in Barcelona with a suitcase and a translated- legalized diploma. I had the great opportunity to be part of a band named “Sol Pasión” with which we covered all Spain. Touring with the band was the best school I could have to grow as an artist.
After some years, I saved enough money to start to invest on my artistic career as an actress. I started performing musical comedy in “Coco Comin Academy”. At the same time, I submitted my application and did the evaluations to be accepted at the dramatic Art School Nancy Tunyon where I graduated from 3 years later in 2011.
Despite my education at the art school, I felt that there was something missing as an actress. Mi intuition told me to avoid interpreting at the moment of acting. But to connect, to “play”, to question the public and to risk everything on the stage and in front of the camera.
I tried acting technics like Meisner, tooked several perfroming courses with different mentors. I did physicality and movement actor training, production and creation of spectacles, etc. My intention was to choose and create my own technic. I needed, wanted to feel confident and comfortable working.
All this process made me dive deep in the world of the performance. It was in the creation and in its creative process where I found those foundations that I so desperate was searching for.
2013 was the year in wich my first unipersonal spectacle “Sin Colorantes Ni Azucares Anyadidos” (No Colorants Neither Added Sugars) was born. It was showcased in several festivals in Barcelona and Madrid.
Nowadays, I juggle shootings with writing. And in the future, I have the ambition to write my first book or my first movie script. Why not?
