Junyi Sun started training in martial arts (Jeet Kune Do and Kali Filipino) and participated in several shootings in the world of cinema and television as “Biutiful”, “Los Pelayos”, “La que se avecina”, “Polseres Vermelles”, “Sin identidad” and different commecial spots for brands like Maggi, Sanex and Degree.
He started in the world of performing arts in various schools studying musical theater, where he trained in several theatrical fields, sing and dance styles doing numerous workshops. In 2013 he created Kernel Dance Theatre, a company that he is currently leading and choreographing (re: GROW a contemporary dance piece finalist in the “IX Certamen Coreografic de Sabadell” and “4 Frases de un poema” winning the 1st Prize at the 3rd edition of Territori en Dansa).
He has worked in professional projects as Kyla (Fredor) of Lars Noren directed by Adrian Devant (winner of the category Revelation. Els premis de la Critica 2014), Prisonnière-s with Compagnie du Sarment, “Caida Libre” from Sharon Fridman, “Show must go on” from Jérôme Bel and “Bolero de Ravel” with the Bejart Ballet Lausanne.
Currently he is collaborating with the company Lataimada of Olga Alvarez and Jordi Cabestany in the project “El octavo día”, and the new production of SenZaTemPo directed by Inés Boza.
