Jordi Collet, actor and musician born in Barcelona, has a degree in Dramatic Art by the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and has developed his long career as an actor in many prestigious productions such as King Lear by W. Shakespeare directed by Lluís Pascual with whom he has also worked in El Caballero de Olmedo. Other works include Homebody/Kabul, directed by Mario Gas; Krum directed by Carme Portaceli; Three Sisters directed by Carlota Subirós; the monologue Pedestrians directed by Xavier Albertí or Demons by Lurdes Barba. He has worked with other directors like Alex Rigola or Joan Ollé. He usually performs in both Catalan and Spanish but he has also worked in Italian with Italian director Franco de Francescantonio in Libera Me and in French in Hail Tanz by the Italian director settled in Brussels Caterina Sagna. He has been nominated twice for the best leading actor in the popular Butaca’s Awards for Pedestrians and Demons and once as best supporting role for Homebody/Kabul.
His career includes cinema and TV performing as the leading actor in Todo me pasa a mi, La Biblia Negra and El Dominio de los Sentidos as well as supporting roles in 88, Rivales or Un Banco en el Parque working with directors like Jordi Mollà and Fernando Colomo.He has worked for the Catalan TV in many occasions in series such as La Riera, KMM, Estació d’enllaç or Secrets de Familia and also in the National TV in Mir, Hospital Central or Uco.
His career as a composer of many soundtracks like the ones he did for Krum, 2666, Julio Cesar or Nuestra Clase also needs to be pointed out.
